SME Corp is a statutory body to promote small and medium industries development where necessary and desirable, ways and means by which existing business and new business development might be improved, and to seek and promote business innovation and development. In light of developing, maintaining and negotiating university-industry relations for mutually beneficial strategic partnerships, Industrial Networking and Practical Training Section (IPS) of ACS Division in collaboration with Students Development Division (S-Dev), has established a task force to realize a training programme on entrepreneurship with SME Corp.

SME-University Internship Programme with IIUM is a collaborative programme between SME Corp and IIUM with the objective of nurturing the entrepreneurial potential of youth and to enable them to participate actively in business enterprises as well as promote self-employment. This programme aims to encourage collaboration between the government, industry and academia for community and national development, with the focus on small and medium enterprise (SME) as the ground for entrepreneurship incubation meant for interested students.

IIUM is moving ahead towards realizing this programme. The launching and briefing session will be held as below details:
